New year rituals

Updated: Jan 14, 2022

We can all agree that these past YEARS has been rough. 🤯 We're ready to leave 2021 behind, but of course nothing magical will change overnight unless you MAKE it different.

For the last years I have incorporated some rituals to help me implement the change I want to make.

If you want to do the same, I leave you with some instructions...

Write a letter to yourself to open on the next new years eve!

Write it as if you are stating out the things that happened in 2022.

Eg. As I look back on 2022 I'm so appreciative for taking time for myself every morning, by meditating for 10 min.

I've been practicing yoga consistently and my body feels so good.

.........

I like to be get really specific.

Focused on how I want to be feeling.

If you know anything about manifesting you have to feel it before it happens. So get into the feeling of it! Your mind doesn't actually know if its real or not. It's all the same to the brain. Last year I shared this tradition with the people I was celebrating with. I can't wait to read my letter. I invite you to try it too, so we can share what came true next year.

A fun little practice to play with is to choose a WORD of the year.

It dictates your vibe and drive.

I know it's hard to pick just one, but do it!

It helps your mind focus and brings clarity to what we want to create in our lives.

Struggling to pick a word?

These articles provide useful inspiration:

It isn’t about crossing another goal off your list, it’s about creating a mantra to help guide your daily actions and become a better version of yourself.

I am ending this blog with this text from Neil Gaiman:

"I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes.

Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You're doing things you've never done before, and more importantly, you're Doing Something.

So that's my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody's ever made before. Don't freeze, don't stop, don't worry that it isn't good enough, or it isn't perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life.

Whatever it is you're scared of doing,

Do it.

Make your mistakes, next year and forever.”

Happy 2022

Wishing you all the best, Iselin
